Seahawks' interest in USC pro day no joke

The Seahawks had five evaluators present for USC's pro day, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com. On latimes.com, Sam Farmer suggests the Seahawks could draft USC quarterback Mark Sanchez fourth overall given that "half the Seahawks' front office is in town."

Seattle does lead the NFL in former USC players with three. Nine teams have two, including the Cardinals. The 49ers are among 10 teams with one. The Rams are one of a dozen teams without a player from USC.

First-round choice Lawrence Jackson, second-round choice Lofa Tatupu and undrafted free agent Kyle Williams comprise the Seahawks' players from USC. The Cardinals have first-round choice Matt Leinart and second-round choice Deuce Lutui. The 49ers have second-round choice Chilo Rachal.

The most recent USC player on the Rams' roster? Third-round choice Dominique Byrd, chosen in 2006 and released after two seasons with the team.
