How aggressive was your team's defense?

An earlier item referenced how many times per game the Chicago Bears sent six or more pass-rushers after opposing quarterbacks.

The number was 2.8, but what was the context?

I asked that question to ESPN Stats & Information. Marty Callinan provided information for the chart below.

The numbers confirm what we've seen more generally.

The St. Louis Rams were far more aggressive than their NFC West counterparts in rushing at least six defenders. Coach Steve Spagnuolo has roots with the Philadelphia Eagles, one of two teams ranking higher on the list.

New Orleans used these all-out blitzes far more than any team. Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck threw two touchdown passes against the Saints when New Orleans rushed at least six this season.
