Todd McShay advances his next 2011 NFL mock draft with video previews breakout out the first 10 selections.
This one takes a look at the top five. McShay has the Arizona Cardinals selecting quarterback Blaine Gabbert fifth after Texas A&M pass-rusher Von Miller -- and Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, for that matter -- landed elsewhere.
This is one of the more intriguing scenarios for Arizona. My feeling is that Miller would be a more obvious choice for the Cardinals were he available, based on expected 2011 impact. But if he were gone and Gabbert were available, would a slower-paying investment in a quarterback carry more appeal?
The Cardinals have given no indication they think this draft holds the type of sure-fire quarterback they would consider taking near the top of the draft.
