DockettThe Arizona Cardinals' defensive end takes pride in being his uncensored self. He doesn't want his every colorful comment turning into a news event, which explains why several reporters, including me, have been blocked from following his account. Dockett denied any knowledge of this when I asked him about it last season; it's possible an associate acting in Dockett's interests has sought to exclude reporters.
Either way, Dockett is not afraid to speak his mind -- even when police are pulling him over.
The Pro Bowl defensive end, who previously posted a photo showing an officer apparently ticketing him for a traffic violation, provided play-by-play Monday as officers attempted to search his vehicle.

Dockett's tone is clear. He feels harassed. Photos previously posted in association with his Twitter handle convey similar themes. Dockett is also playful in his tweets. I found his reference to checking out Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits to be hilarious.
Whether or not Dockett has faced real harassment, Twitter and social media in general can provide an effective deterrent by shining light where there would otherwise be none.
On a lighter note, Dockett is not the first NFC West player to experience a traffic stop in a very public manner. Chris Long actually took a break from a radio show when an officer stopped him over what Long later said was a misunderstanding.
