Consider this your personal invitation to attend the next NFC West chat on ESPN.com on Thursday, right here at 1 p.m. ET.
Why list a chat in Eastern time for a division with teams from the West and Midwest? Because uniformity across the site, though imperfect, is ultimately less confusing and annoying than the alternative.
Imagine if every chat alert read this way: Fans in St. Louis can catch us at noon CT. Those in Phoenix can drop by at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., depending on the time of year. Those on the West Coast can shoot for 10 a.m.
Before long, we would need a chart showing chat times in every region of the world where a visitor might reside.
For those on Greenwich Mean Time, see you at 5 p.m.
