Most, least efficient receivers in red zone

The San Francisco 49ers improved in the red zone during their 20-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

Vernon Davis' touchdown reception and Frank Gore's scoring run gave the team two touchdowns in three red zone possessions.

Targeting Davis in that area makes sense for obvious reasons. He's big, fast, athletic and generally catches the ball well.

The charts show which players have been most and least efficient/productive as receivers in the red zone this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

The first chart shows players with the most red zone targets without a touchdown. The 49ers' Braylon Edwards and Gore make the list.

The second chart shows which players have the highest touchdown percentages in the red zone (minimum five targets). Davis shows up high on this list.
