Fitz, Boldin still better together than apart

Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin combined for 1,008 receptions while teammates for the Arizona Cardinals.

They're combining for much more this offseason.

Gary Belsky of ESPN the Magazine has the details from the wide receivers' trip to Ethiopia, where they are helping locals improve the infrastructure. That work is far more productive than simply handing over cash to the impoverished villagers.

"Even a gift of 500 birr (about $30) could cause serious disruption in this community," Belsky writes. "If a few villagers were suddenly to become 'rich,' many neighbors could resent their good fortune, and some might shun them if not given a share of the windfall."

They did get approval to purchase two cows for the locals.

"Such a gift shows great respect for the community," Belsky reports.

This one's worth a read.
