Awaiting word on Michael Brockers' injury

St. Louis Rams trainers just helped first-round draft choice Michael Brockers off the field after the defensive tackle suffered a leg injury.

Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ramon Harewood dove into the side of Brockers' leg while Brockers was running away from Harewood toward the other side of the formation.

Three trainers and coach Jeff Fisher tended to Brockers on the field. Brockers sat up. Trainers checked out his right ankle, manipulating it from side to side. They then helped Brockers walk off the field. Brockers sat up on the back of a cart, his legs extended, as the cart took him from the sideline into the locker room area for tests.

Update: Fisher told the Rams' preseason TV network that he thought Brockers' injury was "not too serious" in the absence of a more definitive diagnosis.
