Video: Carroll sizes up Matthews, Rodgers

SEATTLE -- Greetings from Seattle, site of our "Monday Night Football" matchup at CenturyLink Field.

We'll kick off the afternoon with thoughts from Seahawks coach Pete Carroll regarding Green Bay's Clay Matthews and Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers Outside the Pocket

Carroll, speaking in the video above, calls containing Rodgers a "monster task" in part because Rodgers can use his mobility to buy time and locate open receivers downfield.

The chart shows Rodgers' production last season and through two games this season after escaping the pocket.

Seattle's defense has allowed four touchdowns with three interceptions on such plays over the same time period. Opponents have completed 44 of 87 passes (50.6 percent) for 544 yards (6.3 yards per attempt) with six sacks and two completions of 30-plus yards.

This will be one aspect of the matchup to monitor Monday night.
