Passing along: the link to our Thursday chat, which begins at 1 p.m. ET.
In the meantime, I recommend checking out John Clayton's column sizing up the free-agent market two-plus weeks into the signing period. He notes that the Arizona Cardinals have more salary-cap room that most teams at this point, but from the looks of things, the team has no plans for a big-ticket addition. That could change if the right quarterback became available, but even then, we're unlikely to see trend-setting deals for free agents.
Overall, teams have cleared more cap room through releasing players this offseason compared to last year. They have also been less apt to strike deals for $10 million per season and up.
