Dareus out as Bills open training camp

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills opened training camp with a two-and-half-hour practice Sunday evening.

Here is our rundown from the session:

Marcell Dareus headlines absences: Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was not spotted on the practice field and remains on the active/non-football injury list. Dareus failed his conditioning test but teammate Kyle Williams wasn't concerned after practice. "He'll get it straight," Williams said. "I don't know exactly what it is, but I don't think it's because he's fat and out of shape."

Glenn, Branch rehabbing: Starting left tackle Cordy Glenn, who is on the active/non-football illness list, was seen doing light exercise during Sunday's practice. "I've been advised to say he's not going to be out there practicing, and if he wants to comment further on that he can," coach Doug Marrone said.

Meanwhile, defensive tackle Alan Branch, who is also on active/non-football illness, worked with the strength staff during practice. Linebacker Randell Johnson (active/PUP) also sat out practice.

Seantrel Henderson, Marquise Goodwin leave practice: Rookie Seantrel Henderson, who replaced Glenn at first-team left tackle, left early in practice with a hip injury and did not return. Meanwhile, receiver Marquise Goodwin left later in practice and updated his status after the session:

We'll have more from Sunday's practice, including observations about EJ Manuel and Sammy Watkins, later tonight.
