Niners finding new identity

PHOENIX -- So, this is what the 49ers' offense looks like when Mike Singletary changes quarterbacks and puts his philosophical stamp on the offense.

The 49ers had 48 yards rushing in the first quarter. They ran the ball on their first five plays of the game before a false-start penalty against Billy Bajema put them in a passing stuation. The success on the ground set up Shaun Hill's 31-yard pass to Josh Morgan in the second quarter.

If the Cardinals weren't tight before that touchdown, they are now. The 49ers have a 14-3 lead in the second quarter. They are winning this game at the line of scrimmage.

The Cardinals need a big play to break the tension -- and they just got one with Kurt Warner's deep ball to Steve Breaston. The Cardinals can exhale now.
