The San Diego Chargers are not dead.
They still have a heartbeat -- barely.
Trailing by a score of 21-10 at the 2-minute warning, San Diego scored two touchdowns to stun Kansas City. The Chiefs had a chance to win the game as time expired, but a 50-yard field goal attempt was no good.
The Chargers, down 21-3 at one point in the second half, are still alive in the AFC West. Any Denver win or San Diego defeat or tie the rest of the season gives Denver the AFC West crown.
If Denver loses at Carolina and then losses to Buffalo at home next week and San Diego wins at Tampa Bay next week, the division will come down to the winner of the Denver at San Diego game on Dec. 28.
If Denver loses to the Panthers, there will be some pressure on it as San Diego has to feel good after its comeback win.
For Kansas City, it is yet another devastating defeat. It is their fifth game that was blown in the second half in the past eight games.
