NAPA, Calif. -- The Raiders' training camp was buzzing about the Brett Favre trade from the Packers to the Jets late Wednesday night. The Raiders were finishing their evening practice when word of the trade broke.

"That's great news ," Oakland receiver Javon Walker said. "Brett is going to make that team very good."

Favre and Walker were teammates in Green Bay from 2002-05. The two had a falling out before Walker left, but Walker said they had patched things up.

"The thing about that guy is, he will find you if you are open," Walker said. "He will get you the ball. The Jets' receivers will love that."

Oakland backup quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo was with the Jets last year. His eyes widened when he heard the news but he believes Favre won't have a problem adjusting to the Jets' system.

"Brett has been in the league so long that he will be fine," Tuiasosopo said. "He'll be a really good fit there. It will be really interesting to see that happen."

Oakland cornerback DeAngelo Hall said he was thrilled to hear about the trade because it meant Favre was back in the NFL after his five-month retirement.

"I am ecstatic that Brett is back in the league," Hall said. "I have been a big Brett fan, and it's great that he's playing again."
