Greer cleared some hurdles to land with Saints

Interesting note about Jabari Greer, the cornerback who signed with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday.

We all know cornerbacks in the NFL have to be pretty fast. But Greer's got a résumé that's big on speed.

While at the University of Tennessee, he broke a couple of records set by noted sprinter and former NFL wide receiver Willie Gault. Greer broke Gault's school record (11.34 seconds) in the 110-meter hurdles. Greer also won the 2003 NCAA championship in the 60-meter indoor hurdles and broke Gault's school record in that event.
