Two games it is for Ndamukong Suh

I'm not sure if many of you were holding out hope that Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh would win even a partial victory in his appeal of a two-game suspension. But for those who were waiting: Appeals officer Art Shell upheld the original penalty Friday.

As expected, Suh will miss Sunday night's game at the New Orleans Saints and the Dec. 11 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He can rejoin the team for practice and/or meetings Dec. 12.

As we've been discussing all along, I'm not sure if Suh's absence will impact the outcome of either game. The Lions were going to have a tough time winning Sunday night at the Superdome even with Suh in the lineup, and quite frankly, they should beat the Vikings the following week without him.
