Darrelle Revis' injury a repeat of 2010?

Oh, no! New York Jets Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis, who's unhappy with his contract, missed practice Sunday with a hamstring injury.

Sound familiar?

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Revis told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio that he will return soon. But this early injury sounds eerily similar to the way Revis' 2010 season began.

Revis had a contract dispute with the Jets, missed much of training camp, and dealt with hamstring issues that year. He had a decent season, but it wasn't up to his usual standards. Revis played in 13 games in 2010, and it was the only time in his career Revis didn't play all 16 games in a season.

Revis showed up to camp on time this year. That is a big difference. But with contract unhappiness and an early hamstring injury, Jets fans have to hope this isn't a repeat of two years ago. New York needs a dominant, happy and healthy Revis on the field this year to make a run at the postseason.
