The chances of the New York Jets going into Pittsburgh and beating the Steelers at Heinz Field just got a lot tougher. On Friday the Jets ruled out Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis (concussion) and starting tight end Dustin Keller (hamstring) for this weekend's game.
Revis is a huge loss for New York (1-0). He is a big part of New York's defense and was needed against a bevy of Pittsburgh receivers. Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders will be a stiff challenge for the Jets without being able to put one of them on "Revis Island."
Keller had a setback in practice this week and has been out since Thursday. The team determined it was best to sit Keller out and try to get him ready for Week 3. Keller is one of quarterback Mark Sanchez's most dependable weapons.
