More negative news for D.J. Williams

Suspended Denver linebacker D.J. Williams has been sentenced to 30 days of house arrest for a drinking and driving conviction. He will serve it after the season. Williams is starting a three-game suspension from the NFL because of the conviction, his second drinking and driving conviction in seven years.

Williams just completed a six-game NFL suspension for using banned substances. He is eligible to play Nov. 18 at home against San Diego. It will be interesting to see what role Williams has when he is eligible to return. He wasn’t part of the team’s plans in training camp because of his suspension, so it might be a stretch to think he can come right in and make an impact.
