Ben Roethlisberger on track to start

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is on track to start Sunday against the Chargers after participating in his first full practice since injuring his rib and shoulder on Nov. 12.

Another good sign is the positive vibes given by Roethlisberger and coach Mike Tomlin after the practice. A big reason why Roethlisberger didn't play against the Ravens last Sunday was arm strength. That doesn't sound like it's a problem anymore.

"I thought it was a positive day for Ben," Tomlin said. "He threw the ball around both vertically and horizontally. I thought the ball had good velocity, particularly in a few instances."

Tomlin later added, "He made all the necessary throws."

Roethlisberger said there was "a little bit of pain and tightness" during practice. "We aren’t worried about that feeling right now," Roethlisberger said.
