"Sunday NFL Countdown" airs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET on ESPN. Below are some of the features you can see this week.
Also, check out our experts’ picks.
Luck’s magic: In Week 13, Andrew Luck won his eighth game in dramatic fashion over Detroit, setting the record for most wins for any rookie quarterback taken with the No. 1 pick. With a slew of come-from-behind, improbable victories, Luck and the Colts have become one of the most inspiring stories in the NFL this season. This week, Hannah Storm traveled to Indianapolis to talk to Luck and the Colts about their knack for the comeback.
Weeden’s cause: On the field, rookie Brandon Weeden has shown promise as the guy who can lead the Browns back to football relevance. Off the field, Weeden’s impact back home in Oklahoma has been even more significant. Weeden has developed a relationship with a family from Oklahoma City, whose son has undergone multiple heart surgeries as a baby and a young child. That family eventually had a difficult time finding a pediatric heart surgeon in the state, and was forced to travel to Los Angeles for one of the surgeries. Now, Weeden is raising money and drawing awareness to keep pediatric cardiologists in state to help more than 100 Oklahoma families in need of help.
The power of momentum: In the last decade, Super Bowl-winning teams like the Giants, Packers and Steelers have proved that you don’t need to be 14-2 to win a Super Bowl. Just get hot at the right time and let momentum carry you to the title. Hear from those championship teams as well as current teams that are starting to percolate, such as the Redskins and Colts. With the help of an Ivy League physicist, we’ll explain why momentum means something in the NFL today.
Caliendo returns: We’ll run the Frank Caliendo piece we were planning to run last weekend. Frank returns to the show with an interview to remember. Watch the magic unfold as Caliendo impersonates Bob Ley and then Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Will Frank keep his job in the end? It’s an “Outside the Lines” to remember.
