The following is three Denver players to watch in Saturday’s divisional playoff game against Baltimore:
Chris Harris, cornerback: Harris played a major role in Denver’s 34-17 win at Baltimore last month. He will be a focal point of the game plan this week. Harris jumped in front of a pass from Joe Flacco near the goal line and took it 98 yards for a touchdown, giving Denver a 17-0 lead right before the half. It was a signature play by a player who is establishing himself as a solid NFL starter. It will be interesting to see if the Ravens challenge Harris this time around.
Dan Koppen, center: Koppen has done an outstanding job this season as an injury replacement. He will have a big role in trying to contain Baltimore middle linebacker Ray Lewis as the Broncos try to send Lewis into retirement. Lewis didn’t face Denver in December. He returned from an injury last week against the Colts and was outstanding. Stopping Lewis starts with Koppen.
Knowshon Moreno, running back: Moreno set the tone against the Ravens last month with 118 yards on the ground. If he can establish a ground attack again, it will give quarterback Peyton Manning a lot of options, and Denver will be difficult to stop.
