Browns hire Chudzinski as head coach

The Browns confirmed that they have hired Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski to be their new head coach. It was first reported by The Plain Dealer.

This is Chudzinski's third stint with the Browns. He was Cleveland's tight ends coach in 2004 and its offensive coordinator in 2007-08.

Chudzinski was considered the dark horse candidate for the job. This news comes on the day that the Browns had former Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt in for a second interview.

Chudzinksi, 44, is a native of Toledo, Ohio, and is a life-long Browns fan.

I will have more later on this breaking news.
