Poll: Dolphins close gap with Patriots?

It's only March, but the Miami Dolphins are the early champions of free agency. The up-and-coming Dolphins signed two big pieces to their puzzle Tuesday by adding dynamic receiver Mike Wallace and playmaking linebacker Dannell Ellerbe during the opening of free agency.

Much of Miami's motivation involves closing the gap with the reigning AFC East champion New England Patriots. In addition to Wallace and Ellerbe, Miami also re-signed starting receiver Brian Hartline and starting safety Chris Clemons.

Have the Dolphins done enough so far to become a legit challenge New England in 2013?

Miami was 7-9 in 2012 and was in the playoff hunt in the final month of the season. Conventional wisdom would assume that adding potential game-changers like Wallace and Ellerbe makes Miami a threat in the division and the AFC as a whole.
