Brady starts, plays first quarter vs. Bucs

New England PatriotsNew England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady started in the team's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday night, two days after he left practice with a left knee injury, reports Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.

In his first-quarter notes, ESPN Boston's Field Yates writes that in his one quarter of action, Brady was "locked in."

"Brady guided his offense 80 yards on a 15-play drive, connecting with Danny Amendola for a beautiful score. The drive was capped with a 2-point conversion on a throw from Brady to tight end Zach Sudfeld. A simply surgical opening drive from the 36-year old," Yates writes.
