Injury report: Gronk listed as doubtful

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s season opener against the Buffalo Bills as he continues to recover after offseason forearm and back surgeries.

Gronkowski had limited participation in all three of the Patriots’ practices this week, his first sessions since last season. He is not expected to play Sunday.

Patriots offensive lineman Will Svitek (knee) was the only player listed as out for Sunday and four players -- Brandon Bolden, Aaron Dobson, Nate Ebner and Duron Harmon -- are questionable.

Receiver Danny Amendola, who had limited practice participation on Wednesday and Thursday with a groin injury, was a full participant Friday and is listed as probable.

For the Bills, safety Jairus Byrd is doubtful and four players -- cornerback Stephon Gilmore, kicker Dustin Hopkins and center Doug Legursky -- are officially listed as out.
