GREEN BAY, Wis. – The outlook for Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley and left guard Josh Sitton improved on Thursday, when both players practiced in full pads during the portion that was open to reporters.
On Wednesday, coach Mike McCarthy said he did not expect Finley to practice until Friday because of the toe injury he sustained on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Finley was injured on the game's third play but still managed to play 59 of the Packers' 62 offensive snaps.
Sitton played in Sunday’s game with a sore back, but it worsened during the game and on the trip home.
Safety Morgan Burnett practiced for the second straight day after missing Sunday’s game because of a hamstring injury that dates to the preseason. Last week, Burnett also practiced Wednesday and Thursday but came up lame on Friday and did not play against the 49ers.
The only player who did not practice was cornerback Casey Hayward, who will miss his second straight game because of a hamstring injury.
The full injury report will be available after practice.
