Stevie Johnson's status still unclear

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Traveling to California to attend a funeral, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Steve Johnson may not return in time for Friday's practice, coach Doug Marrone said Thursday.

Marrone said he is still unsure if Johnson, who is dealing with a lower back injury, will be able to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I really don't know. Until he's able to get back, talk to him, see how he feels," Marrone said. "It's quite a long travel with him. It's just a matter of physically and mentally, can he go?"

Johnson has started 48 consecutive games, the second-longest streak among active receivers behind only Larry Fitzgerald (50 games).

The following is the Bills' injury report from Thursday's practice:

QB EJ Manuel (knee)

WR Stevie Johnson (lower back/personal)

CB Stephon Gilmore (wrist)

CB Ron Brooks (foot)

WR Marquise Goodwin (hand)

WR Marcus Easley (ribs)

RB C.J. Spiller (ankle)

S Jairus Byrd (foot)

DT Kyle Williams (Achilles)
