Injury report: Jones, Neal questionable

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Things could change by Sunday, but if the Green Bay Packers had to play the Cleveland Browns on Friday neither receiver James Jones nor outside linebacker Mike Neal would be cleared to play.

But with more than 48 hours before kickoff, the Green Bay Packers listed both as questionable. Packers coach McCarthy said Jones (knee), Neal (shoulder) and backup cornerback Jarrett Bush (hamstring) all were rehabilitating injuries and did not practice Friday.

"If we were to play today, I don't think any of the three would be available," McCarthy said after Friday's practice. "But we've got, what, 50-plus hours before the game? So that's where we are."

As we wrote Thursday, the Packers might have trouble suiting up 46 players. Teams with a full 53-man roster must declare seven players inactive.

Asked whether teams must have 46 active, McCarthy said: "That's a good question. I've never asked."

Here's the full injury report:

Out: LB Brad Jones (hamstring), OLB Clay Matthews (thumb), OLB Nick Perry (foot), RB James Starks (knee), TE Ryan Taylor (knee).

Questionable: CB Jarrett Bush (hamstring, limited in practice), CB Casey Hayward (hamstring, limited in practice), WR James Jones (knee, did not practice), OLB Mike Neal (shoulder, did not practice).
