Things remain relatively quiet on the Bucs' front, although we're told they might have had some discussions with the Patriots before the deal was done with the Chiefs. What we do know for sure is that Oakland guard Cooper Carlisle is visiting the Bucs Saturday. That's a bit of a surprise because the Bucs seem solid with Davin Joseph and Arron Sears in the middle. Carlisle is versed in coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski's zone blocking scheme and could give Tampa Bay some depth.
Although the offensive line appears to be a point of strength with Jeff Faine in the middle and Donald Penn and Jeremy Trueblood as the tackles, the fact the Bucs are looking into Carlisle might mean they're thinking about shifting some players on the line.
Back to those fans that are still screaming for another quarterback, don't give up. The Bucs are going to bring in somebody (at some point) who can, at very least, compete with Luke McCown.
