We're still not totally sure about the nature of the injury afflicting Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. The team described it as a leg muscle strain, a hamstring and a hip over the past five days.
We do know, however, that it has healed sufficiently enough for Stafford to participate in at least a portion of Thursday's practice. The return, after one day on the sidelines, strongly suggests Stafford is on track to start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
He would then have another week to continue healing the muscle strain/hamstring/hip during the Lions' bye week. We'll let you know if anything changes in the meantime.
