As he said all along he would, Atlanta owner Arthur Blank played a role in Michael Vick's return to the NFL.

In an interview with NFL Network during Atlanta's preseason game against Detroit on Saturday evening, Blank said he visited with the former Falcons' quarterback in Virginia while Vick still was on home confinement. Blank said he found Vick to be genuinely remorseful about his involvement in dog fighting.

Blank said he relayed the basics of that visit to commissioner Roger Goodell and indicated he thought Vick deserved a second chance. Blank said he believes Vick has landed in a good situation with Philadelphia.
