Where will the top free agent forward end up? An answer could be coming on Monday.
Zach Parise's agent Wade Arnott told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun that the Devils' captain is narrowing down his choices to a small group of teams and will probably decide on Monday.
A number of teams are interested is signing the 27-year-old and it has been confirmed that Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Detroit, Los Angeles and Carolina have made offers to Parise.
Many of these teams also submitted offers to defenseman Ryan Suter. Suter's agent Neil Sheehy said he is "fielding many calls," but Suter has not made a decision yet.
Key in getting both players will be the signing bonus, up-front money that is protected from any kind of lockout or labor stoppage. And the winning contract for both will likely be as front-loaded as possible.
