Flyers stop Pens, but not Sidney Crosby

The Penguins' run of 12 straight wins and 15 straight games with a point came to an end against the Flyers on Tuesday. But Sidney Crosby recorded two assists to extend his point streak to 19 games, which ties his career high.

Crosby became just the seventh player in NHL history to have multiple 19-game point streaks in his career. Four of the previous six are in the Hall of Fame.

Crosby has 20 goals and 18 assists during his run, 22 more points than any other Penguins player in that span. When Crosby began the streak Nov. 5, the Penguins were 6-7-1 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. They now are 21-9-2 and just one point behind the East's top team, Philadelphia.

Crosby has recorded 62 points against the Flyers (26 goals, 36 assists), which is tied for the most points the Penguins star has put up against any team. He also has 62 points against the Islanders.
