From Elias: The Islanders trailed 2–0 and 3–1 in their game at Madison Square Garden but rallied to beat the Rangers, 5–3. It was the sixth time since December 29 that the Islanders won a game in which they trailed by two goals or more, and five of those six wins were recorded in regulation time. No other NHL team has posted more than two two-goal comeback wins over the past 24 days. Before this stretch, the Islanders had recorded only four 60-minute wins after trailing by at least two goals over the last six seasons.
