Free agency: Where we stand (1 p.m. ET)

Players that have signed as of 1 p.m. ET on the first day of free agency:

  • Patrick Eaves -- The 27-year-old agreed to a three-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings. Eaves had 13 goals and seven assists in 63 games last season.

  • Jonathan Ericsson -- The Red Wings re-signed the defenseman to a three-year deal worth $9.75 million. Detriot now has five blueliners under contract (Nicklas Lidstrom, Niklas Kronwall, Brad Stuart and Jakub Kindl are the others).

  • Josh Harding -- The goalie re-signed with the Minnesota Wild for one year at $750,000. Harding missed all of the past season after suffering a torn ACL/MCL in preseason.

  • Cody McCormick -- The Buffalo Sabres re-signed the unrestricted free agent to a multiyear deal. He had a career-high eight goals and 12 assists in 81 games this past season in Buffalo.

  • Drew Miller -- The Red Wings agreed to two-year deal with Miller, who had 10 goals and eight assists in 67 games this past season.

  • Tyler Kennedy -- The center re-signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins with a two-year deal that will run through the 2012-13 season and have an average salary of $2 million a season.

  • Sami Salo -- The Vancouver Canucks re-signed the defenseman for one year. Salo, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent, Salo was only able to play in 27 games this past season after tearing his Achilles tendon in the offseason.

  • Ben Scrivens -- The goalie signed a new one-year, two-way contract with the Maple Leafs. A top goalie prospect, Scrivens spent time in the ECHL before he was promoted to the AHL for 33 games this past season.

  • James Wisniewski -- The Columbus Blue Jackets signed the defenseman to a six-year deal after acquiring his rights from the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday for a 2012 seventh-round draft pick. Wisniewski, 27, was among the league leaders this past season with 51 points (10 goals, 41 assists) in 75 games.
