UNC ranked No. 11 in both polls

North Carolina, which opened the season with wins over Gardner-Webb and Florida Atlantic, was ranked 11th in both polls released Monday. The Tar Heels moved up one slot in the USA Today coaches poll (where they were 12th last week), and stood pat in the Associated Press rankings.

NC State remained the top-ranked team in the ACC, at No. 6 in both polls.

Duke moved down one slot in both polls, to No. 9. Florida State -- after losing its season-opener -- fell out of both polls.
