CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina sophomore P.J. Hairston's status for Tuesday's game at No. 1 Indiana is uncertain after he injured his knee during Sunday's practice, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams said Monday.
A team spokesman said Hairston, who is averaging 10.8 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 35.3 percent on 3-pointers, has a mild left knee sprain.
"Right now, I don't think he's going to practice today," Williams said. "If he doesn't practice today, he's probably not going to play tomorrow."
