McDonald questionable after knee 'tweak'

6:45 p.m. update: McDonald did not practice Wednesday, according to a team spokesman.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina reserve Leslie McDonald is questionable to play on Thursday night against Miami after hurting his right knee.

“Leslie did not practice [Tuesday], he tweaked his knee a little bit," coach Roy Williams said during his Wednesday news conference. “We don’t know if he’s going to practice today, or what his availability is.”

McDonald, a 6-foot-5 redshirt junior, is averaging 8.4 points and 17.9 minutes off the bench, and is making 40.2 percent of his 3-pointers.

The guard from Memphis redshirted last season after having reconstructive surgery on his right knee in August 2011.
