North Carolina reserve forward Joel James will miss his third straight game, Tuesday at Georgia Tech, because of a concussion.
“We think he’s getting better, he thinks he’s getting better, but he’s not there yet,’’ UNC coach Roy Williams said during Monday’s ACC conference call.
James sustained the injury in a win over Wake Forest earlier this month, but played the following game (a loss to Miami) before telling the medical staff he was having headaches. The freshman has since missed UNC’s loss at Duke last Wednesday and the Tar Heels’ win over Virginia on Saturday.
The 6-foot-10, 260-pound widebody is averaging 11.3 minutes and 2.7 points this season.
