Strickland practices, Hubert does not

Dexter Strickland, North Carolina's starting shooting guard, practiced Friday, according to a team spokesman. Backup forward Desmond Hubert did not.

Both players suffered sprained ankles Wednesday while working out on their own during third-ranked UNC's off day, and couldn't practice on Thursday. Coach Roy Williams had mentioned the injuries during his weekly news conference, prior to Friday's practice. There was no official status available for either player for Saturday's game at Florida State, but the fact that Strickland practiced on Friday is a good sign.
