  • Notre Dame's win over USC last year snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Trojans, dating back to 2001. That was also the last year the Irish beat USC at home.

  • Notre Dame's on a four-game winning streak. It hasn't won five in a row since the 2006 season.

  • USC's Matt Barkley passed for a school-record 468 yards against Arizona earlier this month. Against Syracuse last month, Barkley threw five touchdown passes.

  • USC's Robert Woods is tied for second nationally in receptions per game (10) and is fourth in receiving yards per game (130.5).

  • Through four games, Notre Dame averaged 152.8 rushing yards per game, 4.8 yards per rush and scored five rushing touchdowns. In its past two games, the Irish averaged 276.5 rushing yards per game, 8 yards per rush and scored six rushing touchdowns.

  • Matt Barkley has thrown seven touchdown passes of at least 25 yards this season, three more than his first two years combined. He has at least one throw of 25 or more yards in four straight games, the longest stretch of his career. He is 44 percent this season when throwing at least 25 yards.

  • Robert Woods and Michael Floyd receive more than 30 percent of their teams' targets, and they are two of six FBS players with at least two games of 12 or more receptions. Woods is the target on 39.3 percent of his team's throws; Floyd is the target on 31.5 percent of his team's throws. Woods averages 58.5 yards after catch per game; Floyd 50.5.
