There's a last time for everything, and it's going to cost Notre Dame and Michigan fans this September if they want to see their beloved programs square off one final time.
The least expensive ticket available today on StubHub for the Sept. 6 showdown in South Bend, Ind., is $419, making it the priciest game of the 2014 season, according to a list compiled by CoachingSearch.com. That figure tops the price of arguably the two biggest national rivalries going on right now, Alabama-LSU ($322) and Auburn-Alabama ($314).
Not surprisingly, the Irish are a popular sell, as Notre Dame and Alabama lead the 25-game list compiled by the website, with five games apiece.
The list features Notre Dame opponents old and new, as three of the Irish's four ACC games this season all make the list.
Rival Stanford's Oct. 4 game at Notre Dame Stadium ranks No. 7 on the list, with a minimum secondary ticket price of $219. North Carolina's visit to Notre Dame a week later is 16th at $170, while Louisville's Nov. 22 game at Notre Dame is 20th ($165), and the Irish's trip to defending champion Florida State is 21st ($164).
