2011 numbers: Jackson played in all 13 games last season, recording 18 total tackles. He added 32 yards on three kick returns.
Making the case for Jackson: Question marks remain about Notre Dame's cornerbacks, which have a combined zero starts. But Jackson impressed enough this spring to seemingly lock down the starting boundary spot. Cornerbacks coach Kerry Cooks said this spring that Jackson, a converted wide receiver, is as talented as any cornerback he has ever coached -- he just lacks experience. Jackson's spring stint with the Irish's track and field team probably didn't hurt, either, and with the passing attacks of Oklahoma, USC and the likes awaiting him this fall, the football team will be counting on the junior to step up.
