LaMichael James, RB, Oregon: A blockbuster performance by James against Stanford transformed him from a dark-horse candidate to a short-list candidate. James rushed for 257 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries, including a 76-yarder up the middle. He had no negative plays. He's presently second in the nation with 178 yards rushing per game. He figures to gain a few more yards on Saturday against a struggling Washington State run defense.
Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford: Luck completed 29 of 46 passes for 341 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss at Oregon. He's 21st in the nation in passing efficiency and 16th in total offense. Luck and Stanford play host to USC on Saturday.
Nick Foles, QB, Arizona: Foles and the Wildcats were off last weekend. They play host to Oregon State on Saturday.
