Oregon sign holder arrested

Oregon reserve quarterback Dustin Haines has been suspended from the team after he was charged with resisting arrest early Saturday morning at a party in Eugene.

According to The Oregonian, "police say Haines became hostile and scuffled with officers. He was charged with with excessive noise, interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest."

The 6-foot-3, 204-pound sophomore is best known for holding up the odd signs Oregon often uses to call plays.

There's probably a joke there, but when are young folks going to learn that the only successful response to police -- no matter the circumstances -- is "Yes, sir/ma'am-No, sir/ma'am."
