Time to pick the games again.
Record last year, including bowl games: 63-18.
But last year is last year, and the picks, just like Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh, don't have a rear-view mirror.
But 63-18... come on! Can I at least get a one-handed clap for that?
Oregon 33, Boise State 28: The Ducks defense won't get faked out -- as much -- and Jeremiah Masoli will show he's not just a running quarterback.
LSU44, Washington 17: The Huskies will show a lot of early fight but eventually the Tigers athletic superiority -- particularly speed -- will blow it open in the third quarter.
Stanford 31, Washington State 13: It won't be anything like last year's 58-0 Cougars debacle, but Stanford is a clearly superior team and it will show.
USC 42, San Jose State 10: Matt Barkley throws three touchdown passes, the Trojans rush for 220 yards and the defense looks like the second-coming of 2008. Buckle up in Columbus.
California 38, Maryland 17: California wins in solid but unspectacular fashion, unless that 58-yard Jahvid Best TD run qualifies as spectacular. Bears fans afterwards fret that it wasn't as fancy as it could have been and blame Nate Longshore.
UCLA 24, San Diego State 9: The Bruins defense plays as expected -- good -- but the offense struggles. Still, quarterback Kevin Prince avoids major mistakes, and the running game produces 150 yards.
Oregon State 45, Portland State 14: The Beavers take a big step toward avoiding another 2-3 start hole they annually must crawl out of before winning nine or 10 games.
Arizona State 40, Idaho State 3: Quarterback Danny Sullivan makes an impressive debut and the Sun Devils defense, despite a couple of key injuries/suspensions, dominates.
