SALT LAKE CITY -- Things went from bad to worse in the third quarter for Utah.
First, the Huskies have scored two touchdowns after the break and now lead 24-7.
That's not the worst news: Utah QB Jordan Wynn is out with a left shoulder injury. His right, throwing shoulder was surgically repaired in the off-season.
Backup Jon Hays immediately threw an interception, which set up the Huskies second TD.
Hays is 6-foot, 212-pound transfer from Nebraska-Omaha, which dropped its football program. See his bio here. He has no significant experience in FBS football.
No word on the severity of Wynn's injury, but there is no question he is Utah's most important player.
