ASU hires three assistants

Arizona State has hired three assistant coaches, though their specific positions under new coach Todd Graham weren't announced.

Graham has hired: Mike Norvell, most recently co-offensive coordinator at Pittsburgh; Chris Ball, most recently co-defensive coordinator at Washington State; and Chris Thomsen, who spent the past seven seasons as head coach of the Division II Abilene Christian Wildcats.

It's likely Norvell will run the Sun Devils offense. Ball is a secondary specialist. Thomsen led the Wildcats to a 47-15 record over the final six seasons and six straight trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs.
