Oregon fumble kills momentum

EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon was about to have a first down on its 44-yard line with a lead and lots of momentum. But receiver Jeff Maehl fumbled after catching a pass that would have converted a third-and-9.

And USC drove 44 yards in six plays to tie the game at 10-10.

That's why coaches always yak about turnovers.
